Good news! As a Moda Health member, you can get vaccinated for COVID-19 at no cost. The FDA-approved vaccines are the best shot we have at putting an end to the pandemic.

The vaccine for COVID-19 is covered for all Moda Health medical members at no cost. Vaccination is important because it’s the best shot we have at putting an end to the pandemic and returning to normal life. Vaccinations not only protect the people who get them, but also help keep diseases from spreading to their families and community.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted emergency use authorization for two COVID-19 vaccines so far. Both FDA-approved vaccines have been thoroughly tested and proven effective.

Developers of the FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines followed all the steps the FDA normally requires for vaccine production. In public health emergencies, the development of certain vaccines may be prioritized and expedited. The only difference between other vaccines and the COVID-19 vaccines is that they were given priority review and moved to the front of the production line, which is why they are available to people today.
