Vote for kids to win a park upgrade from Moda & the Blazers

Oregon kids are at their best when they have room to run, jump and play. Now in its fourth year, the Moda Assist Program helps support active living for children all over the state through a fun partnership with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Since 2013, the Blazers and Moda have donated money to add all-abilities play equipment to an Oregon park based on the team's production on the court.

For every assist a Blazers player notches, the team and Moda donate $10 to the Trail Blazers Foundation to support the playground upgrade.

This season, fans can choose a winner from one of three parks: Portland’s Jason Lee Elementary playground, Hermiston’s Sunset Park or Tillamook’s Lillian A. Goodspeed Park. The winning city will be announced at center court at the Blazers game on Saturday, April 1.

Fichtner-Mainwaring Park in Medford won Moda Assist last year, rallying the Medford community to dominate the contest with more than 3,500 votes.

“The online voting contest went viral in Medford,” said Rich Rosenthal, interim director of the city’s parks and recreation department. “It rallied community support and awareness of citywide ADA accessibility needs and ongoing improvement efforts.”
