Planning for your 2018-19 open enrollment can help you choose the right health plan for you and your family.
This year’s Moda Health and Delta Dental of Oregon open enrollment period runs from Aug. 15, 2018 to Sept. 15, 2018. To help you better prepare, we want to let you know about the 2018-19 plan changes ahead of open enrollment.
Medical plans
There are a couple of new benefit options to choose from in our 2018-19 medical plans. They include:
- High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Option Fir — Effective Oct. 1, 2018, we will offer a new High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) Option Fir. This plan will include a $2,000 per individual deductible and a $4,000 per family deductible.
- Virtual Visits — Virtual Visits allows you to get urgent care at home by connecting you with licensed healthcare providers from your computer or mobile device. A $10 copay for OEBB members is not subject to your deductible. Members on the Evergreen and Fir plans will have a $10 copay after the deductible has been met.
Dental plans
There are also a couple of changes to our 2018-19 dental plans. They include:
- Exclusive PPO plan — Members enrolled on our Exclusive PPO dental plan must use a Delta Dental PPO provider in order to receive benefits.
- Dental plan enhancements — Effective Oct. 1, 2018, our dental plan enhancements will include:
- — Composite restoration will be covered on the posterior teeth.
- — Nitrous oxide will be covered at 50 percent for all plans with a 12-month waiting period. This applies to members who did not enroll when they were first eligible on the plan.
- — Night guards will increase to $250 from $150.
Understanding these changes to our 2018-19 health plans before open enrollment can help you choose the plan that’s right for you and your family.
